Where to begin?
A pandemic struck and there solution was to double, repeat, double their prices and then offer a government backed 50% reduction, fair enough but they then claimed the 50% back from the government scheme, so we paid the original prices whilst they made double via a govt. scheme, not good! Just been back in on the 17th May and prices have been maintained at the higher level, too expensive for Bolton and the quality leaves a lot to be desired, theirs much better gems in Bolton, you just have to find them, I have.

Visited with daughter & young granddaughter. Very pleasant atmosphere, pianist playing. Service bit slow but not great problem. Really enjoyed our meal, pensioner fish & chips, good value, included bread & butter + pot of tea. Obviously popular with older customers, definitely have their regulars. Would recommend.

We hadn't been here for ages simply because of covid so we wondered just what to expect. We needn't have worried because it was as good as ever if not better. I suppose the only difference was that the order was taken at the table. We had a variety of meals but everything was wonderful even the smiles on the faces of the staff. Try it.

Missed ? Yes, most definitely.
Due to current issues, it is over 12 months since we last visited, it used to be at least once a month.
In my view, to be a first class restaurant you need 3 things: Excellent Food, (obviously), a clean and pleasant environment and customer focused, friendly and competent staff.
Even though they were a little under pressure due to the amount of customers and a couple of staff who were off, the whole experience was as good as ever, from the warm welcome at the door to the fish and chips and excellent live piano music.
The indicator with regards to quality food is that nothing is left on the plate, and that was the case with us yet again.
Tasos, Ali and the whole team, keep up the exceptional work.

I visited this restaurant because I was in need of a quick lunch and a drink. The service is excellent, with very friendly staff. It is also a clean and airy modern building with decent toilets.
The food, I thought, was fairly average. I was disappointed that there was no haddock available, although you can choose various sizes of cod up to 16 oz (!). I settled for plaice which was OK, and pleasingly well-fileted. The chips were fairly ordinary but perfectly edible.

A coach party came for a fish and chip lunch, and we had a wonderful meal. The staff were simply fantastic, accommodating, patient, informative and helpful. The fish and chips were scrummy, the batter to die for and wonderful tartar sauce. Please go for fish and chips if you are in the area, well worth it.

I have no idea how to describe this place. It's like stepping back in time, in a good way. It was describe to me before I went as a place to get fish and chips but it's so much more. We were greeted at the door as we entered, shown to a table where we looked at the menu. It took me a while to realise I needed to go to the counter to make our order, which initially confused me after being shown to the table, but whilst in the queue, it felt like a real family. The staff knew many customers by their names and I was also treated like one of the family. After returning to our table, we then heard music. I didn't know where it was coming from, then we realised that they also had a grand piano and someone was playing it beautifully. The food was good, but the service made it taste so much better. I will definitely be going back.

The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The food was delicious and piping hot. The interior of the restaurant is spotless and this combined with great food and excellent service means you won’t be disappointed.
