We were attending our friend’s 70th in Bolton so thought we’d make a weekend of it by staying overnight at the Hotel and Spa. We know the Last Drop well having lived in Bolton many years, but it’s a long time since we actually stayed overnight there. We booked a cottage suite, which was nicely tucked away, comfortable and cosy. We were pleased with the space and the general facilities, though there could have been more milk, tea and coffee available, we had to ask at reception for more. Also, biscuits would have been nice! We were too late booking to get in the spa on Saturday afternoon but went after breakfast on Sunday morning, when you don’t need to book. We enjoyed a swim and the hot hydro pool, but the showers needed a clean and the hairdryers were a waste of time!
All in all we had a good stay and thought it worth the. Obey for all the inclusions (breakfast and spa) in our package. We’d definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights while on business in the area because of the gym.
Hotel building looks nicely maintained and inviting as you approach even though it is surrounded by a new housing development to the front.
Staff were always friendly and helpful, room was spacious and clean and all facilities in good working order.
I chose the Last Drop hotel because of the gym which in my opinion has to be the best hotel gym I have stayed at and I travel most weeks. I didn't use the pool and Spa but looked ok and those enjoying it seemed happy enough.
It is set in a contained small historical village with a few shops, pub and cafe which is a nice place to walk around.
Only negative for me was when at breakfast which is ordered from a menu, I did comment my food was barely warm and they appreciated my comments and did something about it.
Yes, I will return to this comfortable mid range hotel, mostly because of the excellent gym.

A delightful and unusual place. A mix of hotel rooms and cottages in a strangely located housing estate (it seemed). Lovely grounds, and overall a four star hotel type experience. Great spa with multiple steam/sauna rooms. And a quaint little shopping area - can imagine it would be particularly nice on a sunny day!

Only ate here for breakfast - which was OK. Nothing special but nothing wrong with it either.

Staff were very helpful and attentive.

I was staying for four nights on business, and overall there wasn't anything I would complain about at all with the hotel - but the guests - I kinda felt spoilt the place.
One night there was someone banging so loud to be let in the room at 2.30am. It went on for ages - whoever was in the room didn't want to let them in! And then arguing once they were both in the room. I would have understood on a Saturday night maybe, but it was a Monday!
Another morning vomit in the grass where some drunk had thrown up.
My car was parked next to a van, where the person has spat loads out of the van window/door it seemed - gross!
In general the atmostphere felt a bit intimidating at times. I wouldn't have liked it if my kids had been with me. I would have complained as being woke in the night by guests hammering and shouting was not nice at all.
