The landing window comprised a set of six windows with original stained glass designs has been in situ since the house was built. Even though the panes were double-glazed recently, water still came in through the frame and around some of the panes. I was reminded regularly that if I did nothing about the window, it would fall out of it own accord. I accepted a tender from G M Windows & Doors to replace it including a modern repetition of the stained glass designs. On Monday two men came to replace the window. They arrived as stated about 8.30 am and spent a couple of hours removing the old window. After a short break, they set the new frame in place and fixed the glass panes. The job was completed by lunchtime. They cleared the mess left after removing the old frame and broke none of the old panes. I am delighted with the job. The window looks super, letting in more light than the old window, and the stained glass is a pleasure to look at. It gives me great pleasure to look at the window. The men were pleasant, not given to chatting and just got on with the job. I would happily give this firm a job again.
