Just been to see 'A Christmas Carol' - it was a really slick, professional & enjoyable show in a lovely theatre in high the 'stage' is actually the central floor area, fully surrounded by the audience seating. & the theatre bar & dining areas are nicely presented & well staffed (though the coffee machine became quite a bottle-neck & slowed down the service).

The Octagon is a small friendly theatre in the (nearly) round - more accurately in the octagon!
The production we saw was a musical version of the Christmas Carol, and was played by a small cast, each taking several parts.
It was well played! Sufficiently well played that I didn't enjoy it. I'm no fan of Dickens, not enjoying his emotional roller coasters, and wouldn't have gone if the family hadn't decided we would. There was much emotional roller coasting, which left me, as it always does, emotionally stressed!

Now this has to be the strangest Indian ive been to. As soon as I walk in your greeted two doors to the left the restaurant too the right the sports bar.. felt quite wierd that there's a TV showing football in restraunt. But after my starter I felt so welcomed and comfortable.. as of my main I asked if the chef could cook me something traditional to home not on the menu. Which they did and OMFG the curry came medium spice but with every mouthful the herbs and spices were dancing in my mouth. Ive never experienced a curry so palatable.. from tasting the tomato to the basil the coriander my pallete is still in heaven...
The waiters go above and beyond ive never felt so welcomed... especially when I eat alone..
