I have stayed several times in early 2026 and the whole team at the Mercure Bolton Georgian House Hotel made me feel so welcome and at home. Alexis and the team at Reception were extremely accommodating, and Irene in the bar/restaurant couldn't have been more kind and helpful. Delicious latte! The bed was super comfortable and the room very quiet. The breakfast is good value for money too (only Ā£9 if you order the night before). I had a lovely view of Rivington Pike and the moors.

Stayed here 12 April to break up a long car journey from Scotland to Kent. Lovely hotel - clean and very well priced. Food tasty and no long wait. Staff friendly and efficient. A particular shout out to Irene, who served us tonight. A lovely, caring lady, who really couldnāt have done more to make us feel comfortable and who went way beyond the extra mile. I wish every hotel had an Irene.

Came for afternoon tea it was lovely plenty of tea and coffee very good value for money. Irene was brilliant nothing was too much for her there was 7 of us and we all had a lovely time will definitely be back

lovely 2 night stay at this hotel. All of the staff were helpful and pleasant especially Irene in the bar area, she was super helpful and made us feel really welcome!

Great stopover en route to the Lakes. Incredible service from the lovely Irene in the bar area, who kept me fed and watered whilst I worked. Nothing was too much trouble and she really is fantastic.

I visited the bar and Irene was so wonderfully hospitable ā¤ļø, I am staying at the hotel whilst my home is being renovated and very often see Ireneās smiling face as I pass and she always says hello. This evening I stopped by for a glass of wine and treated with such hospitality, Iāll be back xx
