Booked this place, primarily, as it had been well received on trip advisor and my other half enjoys a swim and sauna. I found the room to be fine for my needs ie get a good sleep and a shower etc but a little disappointed we only got one set of towels. Also could not get the wifi to work anywhere in the hotel. Maybe if I asked these things would have been sorted so I will take some of the blame.
The pool area, gym and sauna were all very accessible the times we used them and never too busy.
Drink is expensive so don't plan to have a great night at the bar unless you have more money than sense, although to be fair I suspect this is the norm for hotels.
The breakfast buffet is good too, I normally don't eat much in the morning but managed to have a lovely cooked breakfast each morning.
The staff in all areas were very welcoming and attentive and I am sure they would have sorted my little niggles if I bothered to mention them.
I would have no problems recommending this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area.

We only stayed one night and as were were meeting friends we did not eat any meals. The pool is not very large but overall very clean and pleasant, good parking, quiet even though there were 2 weddings. We were given a room on the top floor in the loft area. But it was big enough, clean and quiet. Good TV and tea, coffee etc. About 1 mile from the Reebok and very close to the motorway. Downside drinks pricey, bar area a bit bleak and we did not find a lounge area but there were 2 parties so maybe the lounge was somewhere.

stayed here for weekend friday night into manchester to show at bridgewater hall the hotel staff were helpful and pleasant but the rooms were tired and dated the food in the restaurant was excellent for two of our party but was cold for the other two this was rectified to our satisfaction things do go wrong but it is the way it is dealt with that makes the difference would we go back yes.
we understand that the hotel has recently been taken over and would expect the hotel to raise the standards in the bedrooms to what you would expect from the accor group

Stayed here for one night. Room was poor with dead flies on the window ledge, and the bathroom in urgent need of update.
Didn't use the leisure facilities but they look ok.
Breakfast was very nice, although they seemed very understaffed, and you struggled to get someone's attention to get a cup of coffee.

This was my second visit to the Georgian House Hotel near Bolton and my room this time was larger than my first visit. The rooms have been excellent and, whilst the bathroom fittings are looking dated, they are maintained and scrupulously clean. An earlier reviewer complained about the water pressure in the shower and I can confirm that it is not exactly a raging torrent but then neither is it an inadequate trickle either. I don't spend all my stay in the hotel shower so I can't get too upset by this! The reception staff are delightful and the breakfast staff couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. There is a large bar area with TVs but I didn't get to use the pool so I couldn't comment. Parking is easy and there are plenty of spaces. An excellent experience, again, for a seasoned traveller.

Very good value accommodation. Immaculate well equipped rooms and good friendly service. Great location ( 1 min from major Mway network) yet quiet and rural. We had 2 twin rooms and used the restaurant, gym and bar facilities.

Clean, simple, functional and friendly. Breakfast value for money if you don't book in advance.

Location very good for Bolton and M65 route. Close to Reebok Middlebrook Shopping Centre and Bolton Wanderers FC

Lovely hotel, great location. Nice clean spacious bedroom. Comfy bed. Lovely & quiet so great nights sleep. Staff very friendly. Hotel has a great pool & gym, and also a hairdressers. Bar area nice & relaxed with TV. Had a lovely breakfast in the morning, cooked to order. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a night or weekend away. It's in a great location, near to Middlebrook & Reebok Stadium, but yet has a 'country feel' to it. There are a couple of really nice pubs in walking distance. Would recommend the Brinsop pub just down the road for food/drink.

We stayed in a family room, double bed, 2 single beds. I was a little disappointed, as I had rang 2 weeks prior and requested the family room (room 333) on the first floor (which is were I have stayed on a previous visit) the receptionist at the time said that this shouldn't be a problem and she would put a note on our booking, upon our arrival we had been allocated another room to the one I had requested. When I asked why we hadn't been allocated the one I requested I was told there was no notes on my booking. Although the room I wanted was empty it wasn't clean so we couldn't stay in it. We could see Reebok Stadium from our room and also Pennines. The pool and jacuzzi was very nice. We had breakfast at the hotel which was well worth the price, plenty to choose from. lots of free parking at rear of hotel. Bar prices were a little expensive. Staff very friendly and welcoming. I visit Bolton every New Year period to visit family so may well have to look at another hotel next time due to my room not been available.
