Up visiting family this week so treated my mum to lunch, Olympus being one off my mums favourites!
Mum finds it hard to get about these days so we were very lucky to get one off the disabled parking spots straight outside, (note there’s only 3)
Greeted at the door like royalty and sat in a lovely part off the restaurant. Food was fast and service was efficient.
Had the special off steak and mushroom pie and it was fantastic! Hot and tasty in its own serving dish.
Only negative was my hot chocolate was cold, but staff was apologetic and happy to make me a fresh hot one!

Visited this restaurant prior to seeing a show at The Octagon.
Pretty much everything you’d expect from a decent fish & chip restaurant.
Place was clean & tidy. Plenty of early evening diners. Service was excellent & attentive.
We (me & my 15 year old son) enjoyed the food/drink, and whilst not exceptional, it was was tasty, well cooked with decent portions and value for money. Just the ticket on a cold, wet, winter evening.
We’ll probably visit again next time we go to Bolton, so it definitely ticked all the right boxes.

Called in for the first time at the restaurant side and it had a lovely romantic feel about it. And I had the steamed salmon and it was.by far the best salmon iv ever had and as its my favorite fish I have a lot of it but this was the best.
The staff were really nice and wellcoming and even helped me with my coat I will totally be returnig a lot .thankyou for a fabulous time

The ratings are missing one between 'Average' and 'Very Good', I would suggest, 'Good', which is how I would describe this fish and chip restaurant and take away.
I only recently started getting my occasional Friday night fish supper from here, but I am glad I returned. Fish and Chip Shops are a dying art, a few in Bolton have really let standards slide in the last few years but this place has bucked the trend, actually making great strides in improving their offering.
The cornerstone of this type of establishment, the Fish and Chips are great. The chips consistently golden, slight crunch, done to a high standard. The cod is on the small side, but, again, really well done.
Prices are a little higher than average for a chippy in Bolton but to be honest, its worth it. Pensioners get a good deal here. The kitchen looks clean and well run.
Only drawbacks are the costs mount up when adding peas, gravy, curry. A few vegetarian pies would be great news. Also peas were a little too dry on my last visit, they resorted to pouring a boiling kettle in to try rehydrate them. That is the only criticism, in many visits.

We visited Olympus for a good breakfast on a cold winters day and we wasn't disappointed.

The best service and food of any fish and chip restaurant in the land. Spotlessly clean....and where else would you be entertained by a top class pianist at a grand piano whilst tucking into your pudding, chips and peas.

This " chippy" has to be seen to be believed! It's done out as a first class restaurant - and even has a grand piano! The foods not bad either. Well worth s visit.

This is probably the best fish restaurant in Bolton and they have a great business. For a long time this has been the only reason for me coming to this end of town. However, the last time I was in I decided to have pudding and chips for a change. When I cut into the pudding it collapsed leaving only four tiny lumps, one of which was mushroom; it was filled with air and gravy. I brought it to the attention of the waiter who quickly replaced the whole meal. When I cut into the new pudding it also only had four tiny lumps in it. These are Hollands puddings and I would recommend they change supplier before they lose their hard earned reputation. The only blemish on many a good meal.

Food served in manageable portions and decent choices.
Definitely visit again - another Bolton landmark well worth a visit.

Had a lovely dinner here before setting off on a train journey to the airport, so it was my last meal in England for a while and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Handily placed for the new interchange, it’s a nice place to go to get food before you embark on a journey.

Have visited many times. Most courteous staff, piano recitals as you eat and great value and quality fish and chips. The decor is amazing and restroom areas splendid.

Great fish n chips here we went for a birthday lunchtime treat excellent service from start to finish the specials are very good value would recommend a visit here food is served quickly and cooked perfectly
