⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Olympus Fish and Chip Restaurant is a fantastic spot for a delicious and satisfying meal! The food was fresh, hot, and full of flavour, with perfectly cooked fish and crispy chips. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the overall experience was excellent. Definitely a great place for quality fish and chips—I’d happily visit again and highly recommend it!

Best place for great traditional food! Comfortable, clean and spacious. The staff were welcoming and service was efficient. Perfect chips. Delicious cheese and onion pie, but a pity they don't have a smaller portion of this on their 'pensioners menu'. Smaller portions = less waste + higher profit margins!

A Wonderful Find in the Heart of Bolton... We’ll Definitely Be Back!

We discovered Olympus Fish & Chip Restaurant almost by chance after arriving at Bolton Bus Station, and what a fantastic find it turned out to be.

From the moment we walked in, the experience was excellent. A lovely member of staff immediately realised it was our first visit and kindly explained how everything worked and how to order. That first impression really set the tone for the rest of our meal.

The restaurant itself is charming, comfortable and very welcoming. I particularly loved the conservatory area, which somehow reminded me of some of the lovely traditional restaurants you find in northern Spain.

We paid just over £35 for two meals and ordered the house Cod & Chips. The food arrived remarkably quickly and was absolutely delicious, beautifully cooked cod with a wonderfully light, crispy batter and proper chips. Exactly what you hope for from a great British fish and chip restaurant.

The service deserves a special mention. During our meal, a waiter checked that everything was alright and that we had everything we needed. After our plates were cleared, we were asked once again whether we had enjoyed everything. Those little touches make such a difference.

We finished with a delicious coffee, which was included with the meal, and I was also genuinely impressed by the special offer available for pensioners. It is a thoughtful touch and something you don't see everywhere these days.

But perhaps my favourite moment came as we were leaving. One of the young gentlemen on the staff actually came over and opened the door for my wife and me. Such a simple, old-fashioned gesture of courtesy, yet these days it really stands out. It was the perfect way to finish a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

Excellent food, lovely surroundings, attentive staff and genuinely warm hospitality.

If you're looking for a proper Fish & Chips experience in Bolton town centre, I can wholeheartedly recommend Olympus.

My experience was great

Visiting Olympus is always a delight. I tend to call in at lunchtime (between half twelve and one) and the place is always buzzing. Lots of people, couples, groups, and individuals. Extensive menu. I went for fish, chips and curry sauce and it was delightful. I found the service to be very slick which, to me, conveyed that this establishment knows its business. The staff members are always very efficient and polite. My food is served very promptly. I was impressed. Olympus is not "high end" dining but (certainly in my opinion) it does what it does very well with it's food and staff. Oh, and a nice touch is the pianist playing the grand piano in the centre of the venue. I enjoyed my visit, my food and the ambience.

This is a beautiful f&c restaurant of a type rare west of the Pennines. The young staff are friendly and efficient. The toilets are spotless.

I had a haddock special. This was quite a small fish, with skin on - anathema to me, though I know some would see this as a plus. There was a modest portion of chips and a serving of beans. (I could have had mushy peas - again, I dislike them - or curry.) Also included was a piece of buttered bread and a pot of tea. (I could have had coffee.) This deal added up to £15.95.

The fish was average at best. The chips tasted like oven chips. (I hope they weren't, but they tasted like it.) I ended up leaving several chips.

I don't think the price was that outrageous, to be honest, but I would rather pay a bit more and have a better meal. I came away thinking I would have been better off with fish fingers and home-cut chips at home. A thought that ought never to cross one's mind in such a place.

A wonderful gem of a place. Superb service, fantastically clean, great food. I was only having my car serviced up the road and found this place. A real old-school feel......wonderful. im coming back to Bolton just to visit again.
