Christ Church is a Grade II listed parish church in the Church of England in  Ladywood Birmingham.  Christ Church is a multi-generational, multi-ethnic church community right in the heart of Birmingham.

"I heard that the church`s Mother & Toddler Group were looking for donations" said Irene Yoong-Henery (pictured centre)  "so I phoned them up and offered to donate a car load of toys for the church.  I haven`t been before because I go to another church but I was impressed with the friendliness and warmth I received when I arrived.  The volunteers at Christ Church do so much wonderful work for the community.  I have a garage full of toys and I want to go back again with another load of donations".

The foundation stone of the church was laid in 1883 by the widow of Revd George Lea, vicar of St george`s Church in Edgbaston.  The church was built between 1883 - 1885 and consecretaed on 30th April 1885.  A parish was created under the church for Ladywood.

"These toys will make a huge difference to our familes" said Elisabeth Higgs (pictured),  Emerging Generation Pastor, "thanks so much".

The worshipping community meet weekly on Sunday mornings with kids and youth groups/  As of September 2022 their lead pastors are Rev Dr Katie Stock and Rev Edd Stock.

"Thank you for the donations" said Tosin Yusuf,  Next Generation Pastor (pictured).   "Your donations will enable our spaces for young people to play".

Irene Yoong-Henery is the Parliamentary Candidate for Reform UK in Ladywood.
