School’s out for summer and you need to entertain the kids, so here’s a handy day-to-day guide to keep them occupied.

From 2pm to 3pm, Foyles in Grand Central are offering a free craft workshop and are inviting children to create their own party inspired by the popular children’s book ‘Violet Rose and the Surprise Party’.

On Wednesday and Thursday, mac cinema will be showing Home, an animated children’s film about a ‘loveable misfit from another planet’, featuring Jim Parsons, Rihanna and Steve Martin.

Park Lives is all over the city this summer, offering free family fun, featuring beginner sessions aimed at everybody. Introduce your kids to football, rounders, badminton, cricket and more at Castle Vale – Centre Park from 3pm until 5pm.

Edible Eastside are running an Eco Kids Club at their Kitchen Garden, from 10:30am to 3pm. Kids will learn about wildlife, growing in the garden, composting and tasty recipes. There’s no need to send your children with lunch as they will cook it there, with garden grown ingredients.

The Weekend

Odeon Cinemas are running a family deal costing £25, so why not see Finding Dory and then head over to see the National Sea Life Centre to learn about the fish featured in the film?
