Commercial property agent, KWB, has agreed a deal between Red Engine and Prime Box, for the venue creators to occupy 7,537 sq ft at Prime Park in Hamstead Hill, just four miles from Birmingham city centre.
The company behind global entertainment venues, Flight Club and Electric Shuffle, Red Engine will utilise its new space at Prime Park to store equipment and materials for use in kitting out venues across the UK, USA and Australia.
Gavin Ferris, programme director at Red Engine, said: “Birmingham offers exceptional transport connections, making it the ideal location for our new storage facilities.
“Having venues across the globe, from Glasgow to New York and Sydney, and of course Birmingham itself, it’s important that we have the logistics in place to supply all of our existing and new venues with the equipment they need to run popular entertainment attractions and provide spectacular guest experiences.
“The space at Prime Park ticked all the boxes, being less than two miles from the local motorway network, and 15 miles from Birmingham airport.”
Red Engine joins other prominent occupiers at the business park including Screwfix, SureStore, Greggs, Clifton Trade Bathrooms and ToolStation. Following this recent letting, there are now only two units that remain available at Prime Park.
Kenny Allan, director at KWB, joint property agents for Prime Park, said: “Anyone who has visited one of Red Engine’s venues will understand the exceptional staging and attention to detail that goes into the design of these spaces.
“Not only will the unit at Prime Park be used to store the various items needed but it will also provide somewhere for the team to ‘trial run’ design aspects of future venues.”
Red Engine’s venue in Birmingham, Flight Club, is impressively designed with lights that dance with the music, a glorious feature bar, Elena the fairground horse and a staircase of dreams - not forgetting plenty of interactive dart boards. The venue was named winner of the Restaurant and Bar Design Awards in 2020.
Kenny continued: “We’re thrilled to have such an exciting brand join other high-profile occupiers at Prime Park, all of whom have been attracted by the enviable location and high-quality space on offer.”
A 3.4 acre brownfield site, Prime Park offers more than 70,000 sq ft of warehouse and trade counter space and has been developed by Prime Box, on behalf of L&G’s Industrial Property Investment Fund.
The energy efficient units, all of which are rated BREEAM ‘Excellent’, boast EPC A+ rating, electric charging points for cars and vans, PV panels and air source heat pumps; helping Prime Park target net zero carbon in operation.
More than two thirds of the park is now let, with units ranging from 6,388 sq ft to 10,836 sq ft still available. KWB and Derby Keye are acting as Joint Agents for Prime Park. For more information on Prime Park, visit primepark-birmingham.co.uk.
