The programme invests in 18–25-year-olds from across the city, bringing together young people who might otherwise never meet, to build confidence, leadership capability and cross-sector networks.
In 2025, 48 participants completed the programme, engaging directly with senior leaders from business, education and the public sector.
The results speak for themselves: 87 per cent reported increased confidence as leaders, 97 per cent feel more able to positively impact Birmingham, and 90% have set clear goals for their future
Colin Fyfe, CEO of Unity Trust Bank, who are past sponsors of the programme, said: “As a sponsor of the Birmingham Legacy programme, Unity Trust Bank enjoyed being part of the development of the local focus as well as experiencing the first-hand growth of the participants.”
Sponsoring Legacy offers businesses a tangible way to deliver social value - supporting young people, strengthening talent pipelines and shaping Birmingham’s future.
Sponsors are now being sought for the 2026 programme. To find out more contact Louise Teboul, at Common Purpose or visit Legacy - a global campaign by Common Purpose
