Returning to the Midlands Arts Centre (MAC) Poetry After Chai offers an expanded evening of spoken word and storytelling inspired by the warmth of the traditional mehfil.  The event is inclusive and a celebration of Bangladeshi arts and culture.

Bangla Month (1st - 30th November) is a celebration of all things Bangladeshi brought to Birmingham by the Bangladeshi Artist Development Agency (BADA) and Legacy West Midlands.

From celebrating heritage to creating opportunities for the next generation, the BADA team is on a mission to bring communities together through arts, music, culture and connection.

BADA Month 2026 is more than a celebration - it`s a movement to honour roots, amplify voices and inspire the future.

- A reading by Somnath Batabyal from his book "Red River" followed by a Q & A

- Lead poets Kohinoor, Jo Wright, Glyn Armstrong and Saida Chowdhury (pictured)
