The application proposes a 46,888 sq ft industrial unit designed to help address the growing demand for commercial space within the district and wider West Midlands region.

IM Properties say it has the potential to create up to 150 direct and indirect jobs and deliver £100,000 per year in business rates.

The site sits immediately adjacent to Wythall Green Business Park, a well-established commercial location approximately 10 miles south of Birmingham city centre and close to Junction 3 of the M42, offering strong connectivity to the regional and national motorway network.

Lewis Payne, development director, said: “We’re already having conversations with several interested parties looking for high-quality space.

“Our strong market position and reputation on the M42 Corridor enables us to clearly understand occupiers’ needs and address a current shortage of similar scale units in the local area.

“Evidence shows that industrial space across Bromsgrove district is currently severely undersupplied. There is very limited immediate availability despite strong demand from businesses looking to locate or expand in the area.

“Figures also suggest a significant proportion of Bromsgrove residents currently travel outside the district for work. Providing modern employment space locally would help support business growth while creating opportunities closer to home for local people.”
