The turn of a New Year is a perfect time to start a new chapter in our lives by setting oursleves New Year resolutions.

The top ten New Years Resolutions are (in no particular order)

  1. Stop Smoking
  2. Drink less alcohol
  3. Learn something new
  4. Eat healthier and diet
  5. Get fit and lose weight
  6. Spend more time with family
  7. Be less stressed
  8. Get out of debt
  9. Volunteer
  10. Travel to new destinations

Do you know only 8% of us are successful in achieving their resolution. With 25% of those who have set a resolution dropping out in the first week. This statistic raises to 33% by the end of January.

Popular excuses include...

  • Too Cold
  • Too busy with work/children
  • Spouse/Partner quit their resolution so you lost motivation
  • It was a stupid idea
  • Don't believe in yourself
  • Treating the 'marathon' like a 'sprint'
  • Cost

Don't give up, believe in yourself. Your goal can only be achieved by yourself.
