Accountancy and tax advisory firm Bishop Fleming has appointed Eoin Heeney as its new corporate tax partner to its Birmingham office.

Bishop Fleming has gained significant momentum in Birmingham in recent years and has a sharp focus for 2026 accelerating the cities growth.

Eoin has spent 18 years building deep technical expertise in corporate tax while developing a broad, relationship led advisory approach.

The appointment significantly enhances Bishop Fleming’s corporate tax capability and supports the firms’ ambitious plans to scale its Birmingham office into a major regional hub.

Eoin’s arrival follows a series of senior hires within the Birmingham office over the past year, clearly demonstrating the firm’s commitment to establishing a major long-term presence in the Midlands.

The office is scaling rapidly as part of Bishop Fleming’s broader better growth strategy which focuses on investing in key regional markets.

Bishop Fleming plans to build a team of more than 20 specialists with further strategic hires planned for 2026 to meet rising demand for high quality advisory support.

Mark Taylor, Birmingham office lead, said: “Eoin’s appointment represents another major step forward in our Birmingham growth journey.

“We are building a team that can genuinely match the output of the national firms in the Midlands, while delivering the personal, high‑quality service Bishop Fleming is known for.

“We’re entering 2026 with real momentum, and Eoin’s appointment is a powerful way to start the year.”

Eoin Heeney said Birmingham presents ‘tremendous opportunity’, adding: “After spending 18 years at a large organisation, I was attracted to Bishop Fleming’s entrepreneurial mindset and its ambition for growth in Birmingham.

“The firm has assembled an impressive team in the region, and there’s a real energy around turning plans into action.

“Birmingham and the wider West Midlands present a tremendous opportunity, and I’m excited to help build a corporate tax team that delivers high-quality, practical advice and can confidently compete with any firm in the market.”
