A pioneering new service has launched to transform commercial debt recovery across England & Wales.
Remote Court Users (RCU) offers a centralised, scalable model that connects creditors, legal professionals, enforcement agencies, and the courts—delivering efficiency, transparency, and societal benefit.
RCU acts as a national clearing house for Writs of Control, facilitating the transfer of County Court Judgments (CCJs) to the High Court for enforcement.
The service is designed to eliminate abortive fees, preserve existing relationships with High Court Enforcement Officers (HCEOs), and ensure fair allocation where no preference exists.
Founded by Amir Ali OBE, a leading figure in debt recovery and enforcement, RCU aims to unlock up to 650,000 additional Writs annually, potentially boosting HMCTS revenue from £10 million to £64 million and supporting the digitisation of enforcement nationwide.
RCU is available for unregulated monetary judgments of £600 or more, offering a compliant, cost-effective route to enforcement. The service welcomes instructions from:
In line with its social mission, RCU will donate £75 per successful case to its forthcoming Legal Aid Foundation, supporting access to justice for those in society that have no means.
