Shaun has also written one novel, The Sadness of The King George, based on his years of working in pubs.  The New Brutalism is his first poetry collection.   "A fleeting sound in the shopping centre Took me with its suddenness This is no longer my Nan`s world Of fusty old rooms disturbing dust Cassettes of James Last Bought from Woolworth`s spinning racks Of Spot the Ball and Kwiksave Bags   None of that stuff exists anymore"   (from Northfield Morning - The New Brutalism by Shaun Hand)   Shaun asked Tom Hicks (who he`d never met) to collaborate on it whilst drunk after being made redundant.  Tom Hicks is a writer, a curator, an artist and photographer and the driving force behind Black Country Type - an ongoing photography project that has been exhibited throughout Birmingham and the Black Country.  The New Brutalism is published by Kates Hill Press.
