Through the partnership, BCU students will provide one-to-one and small-group academic coaching to JERICHO apprentices based in Sutton Coldfield.
Working alongside existing training provision, the programme will offer additional support in Maths and English, helping apprentices to build essential skills that improve confidence and long-term employability.
JERICHO said in a statement: “We are always grateful for the opportunity to work with organisations that share our dedication to supporting the local community.
“BCU clearly demonstrates its commitment to employability by offering meaningful volunteering opportunities that allow students to develop practical experience while contributing positively to the region.
“We look forward to seeing the positive impact this programme will have on our participants as they move towards sustainable employment, as well as the valuable skills and career development it will provide for BCU students.
Heike Schuster-James, BCU interim director of Engagement, said: “Supporting local organisations is something our staff and students care deeply about, and this collaboration gives us a meaningful opportunity to power prosperity for Birmingham and its residents.
“We’re excited to see the outcomes this partnership will create for everyone involved.”
