While more than half of leaders report that economic conditions have worsened over the past year, a majority still expect revenue growth and improved profitability in the year ahead.

That sentiment was evident this month at the launch of a new peer advisory group for small and scaling businesses in the region. Led by Alex Cook, the group forms part of the Vistage UK network and brings together founders, owners, managing directors and chief executives to support one another through confidential peer discussion, challenge and shared experience.

The inaugural meeting took place at Alpha Works in Birmingham, hosted by Pearl Comms.

Although many members were meeting for the first time, discussions quickly moved beyond introductions into practical conversations around growth, leadership, decision-making and navigating complexity.
