Local Band To Perform At Shrewsbury Food Festival

A local band is perform at Shrewsbury Food Festival in Quarry Park on 4th September.   So It Goes combines the poetic and songwriting talents of Tipton born and published author Brendan Hawthorne, poet laureate of Wednesbury and Kerry Halford singer/ songwriter from Dudley, West Midlands.  

Forming in 2011 they embody diverse musical influences with Brendan being driven by the blues and Kerry building on her Folk and Country traditions; their influences merge into an kaleidoscopic array of acoustic based music.  

So It Goes... launched their first album Because in 2012 at Wednesbury Town Hall. They now perform in venues across the Black Country, including at the ‘Ere We Bin acoustic night each month at Wednesday Library, combining their original material with a unique take on some of the best loved songs of the last 40 years, ranging from blues and country through to jazz and rock.     They are currently working on their latest album which will include many new songs.
