A local author is to perform at the Shrewsbury Food Festival in Quarry Park on 4th September. Lynn Hawthorne, a regular contributor to "Ere We Bin", a monthly spoken word and acoustic music night, will be part of a team of local spoken word performers who will be taking to the stage in a specially dedicated area at the Food Festival.
The event will also host 150 food, drink and craft exhibitors, a new home and garden area, chef school, gin school, chef demos, live music - and - for the first time ever - poetry performances in a dedicated poetry gazebo.
After careers in local government, teaching and heritage, Lynn now divides her time between invigilating exams and dealing in vintage. In addition to regularly contributing to "Ere We Bin", a regular spoken word and acou
stic music night, Lynn is also a member of Belmont Rep , a well-known theatre group. Lynn`s new book, "Travels With My Notebook", is a series of sketches with words, sharing her experiences of Italy, Spain and Switzerland.
