Lyngo Theatre’s delightful production of Little Red Riding Hood, performed at The Door on Saturday 4 October, was a heartwarming and thoroughly entertaining experience for children and families alike.

From the moment the magical wardrobe opened, the stage came alive with a burst of colour and imagination. The costumes were a visual delight, transforming the snowy wild wood into a playful wonderland. The wolf, dressed in granny’s clothes, was both mischievous and marvellous, drawing giggles from the young ones with every exaggerated gesture.

The show was packed with catchy songs that floated through the air, encouraging children to join in with clapping and singing. Puppets popped out, delivering cheeky surprises and plenty of laughs. The atmosphere was electric, with children fully engaged and responding with joy to every twist in the tale.

Audience participation was a highlight, making the little ones feel part of the adventure. The performers welcomed their reactions with warmth and humour, creating a shared experience that was as memorable as it was magical.

With a running time of around 50 minutes and a gentle, inclusive tone, this production was perfectly suited for children aged three to eight. Even the tiniest theatre-goers were made to feel welcome, with babes-in-arms tickets available at a nominal rate.

Little Red Riding Hood was more than just a play. It was a celebration of storytelling, laughter and imagination. Lyngo Theatre delivered a show that thrilled, delighted and left young audiences beaming. A truly wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
