The Wellbeing Workout on Tour will take place at x+why Foundry in Birmingham on Thursday 1 October, from 1.30pm to 6pm, bringing together workplace specialists, HR professionals and business leaders for an afternoon of practical talks, discussion and networking.

Among the keynote speakers is Marina Ibrahim, founder of Globility Insights, a Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce member and member of the Global Chamber Committee.

Marina will be presenting ‘The Wellbeing Nobody Talks About: How Cultural Intelligence Improves Engagement, Inclusion and Retention’.

She will examine how differences in communication, leadership, trust and workplace expectations can affect whether employees feel understood, included and able to perform at their best.

Marina said: “Workplace wellbeing is not only about benefits, fitness initiatives or managing stress. People can become exhausted when they constantly have to decode unspoken expectations, adapt without support or feel that their way of communicating and contributing is misunderstood.

“When leaders develop cultural intelligence, they create greater psychological safety, stronger working relationships and a genuine sense of belonging. That has a direct impact on engagement, retention and business performance.”

Drawing on her British, German and Egyptian background, her work with international organisations and her own experience of burnout in a workplace that was not ready to support international talent, Marina will share practical ways for employers to recognise and reduce this often-invisible pressure.

Marina works with organisations across the West Midlands and internationally.

She has supported leaders and teams from organisations including BMW, BP, Bentley, Nike, PepsiCo and Network Rail.

She was named the FSB West Midlands Diversity and Inclusion Award winner in 2024 and is a finalist in the Speaker Awards 2026.
