"Hope Central is a soundscape art piece, devised and produced by Rick Sanders, a poet, maker and artist based in Stourbridge.

Hope Central invited anyone to leave a message of hope on Rick's answer machine during March. These messages have been interwoven into a soundscape by the sound-artist Bill Laybourne of Workshop 24.

It offers an intriguing and often very personal insight into what people are hoping for in amongst the challenging times of global change.

The soundscape is currently playing on a 24 hour loop on the website www.hope-central.org and anyone can drop into the recording by clicking on the Listen Live option from the main menu.

The recording is being very generously hosted by our friends at Brum Radio and their mix of eclectic radio shows can be found at www.brumradio.com

If you want to know what is driving hope in this world, then jump onto the website and have a listen. The soundscape will be live until 7th May, 2022.

"Moving and inspiring on many levels and left me feeling more hopeful than when I came in [to the launch event]."
