Enchanted is an open mic night where members of the public, poets, musicians and likeminded individuals can share their talent and express themselves in a safe and friendly environment.
I have always had a love of open mic events and have been interested in performance my whole life. Enchanted started as an idea to inspire myself to perform more and a chance for others to spread their wings. I chose the name Enchanted because I found it best suits the vibe I was after and implied what I believe to be the most fundamental element to any open mic night, the ability to entice, entertain and inspire.
I wanted to create a quaint and intimate space, witch is why I started it in Cafephillia. I always decorate the space with material and fairy lights and fairy jars amongst other things. I include things that involve the audience like blowing bubbles and flowery head bands. I myself always dress up for the occasion.
Enchanted is now expanding and is at a larger venue to allow a larger audience, alcohol and is now on the weekend. Enchanteds new home is Sorrento Lounge in Moseley.
I am excited to see my Enchanted family grow and blossom and become bigger and better, to spread love and good-vibes further.
