'He has become one of our most refreshingly funny comedians of any stripe.’ ★★★★ Dominic Maxwell, The Times
He’ll also reflect on how much he loves being a Dad but wonders if dads will ever get the same cultural credit mums do (not likely judging by mother’s day cards). Geoff’s also taking advantage of the rediscovered tolerance towards jokes being jokes to tell you what he really thinks. Above all, how much he judges people. Bad parents, fussy eaters, over eaters and anyone who wears a dressing gown beyond 9AM…it’s fair to say this time the gloves are off.
This is also Geoff’s first under a Labour government, so he’s got plenty to get off his chest! Not least because there’s nothing quite so British as being promised a brave new dawn then realising it’s as crap as the last one.
Geoff’s also reflecting on what it was like working during the high watermark of ‘woke’ – and a live TV appearance which could’ve easily ended his career. ‘Geoff Norcott is in his element on the stand-up stage.’ Daily Mail
Geoff Norcott has numerous TV credits to his name, including Live at the Apollo, Mock The Week (BBC Two), Have I Got News For You, House of Games, Question Time, Pointless Celebrities, Would I Lie To You? Celebrity Mastermind (BBC One), Backstage With Katherine Ryan (Amazon), The Complaints Department (Comedy Central), A League of Their Own, Comedians Giving Lectures, Late Night Mash (Dave), The Last Leg (Channel 4). Geoff has presented his own documentaries on BBC Two, How The Middle Classes Ruined Britain and Is University Really Worth It?
Among Geoff’s radio credits are The News Quiz (BBC Radio 4), on which he has guest-hosted as well as making regular panel appearances, Breaking the News (BBC Radio Scotland) and three of his own Radio 4 specials Withdrawal Disagreement and Right Leaning But Well Meaning (which won the 2019 BBC Radio & Music Award for Best Comedy Production) and Geoff Norcott’s Working Men’s Club (nominated for a 2025 BBC Audio Drama Award).
After numerous appearances on Times Radio, Geoff now hosts his own Friday night show between 7pm – 10pm. Meanwhile, Geoff continues to host his popular podcast What Most People Think. Geoff is also a published author. His first book, Where Did I Go Right?: How The Left Lost Me, was published in May 2021. His second book, The British Bloke Decoded, was published in September 2023.
He’s also had several successful national stand-up tours, with Taking Liberties touring in 2019 and 2020, and I Blame The Parents touring 2021/2022. Geoff’s most recent tour show, Basic Bloke, can be seen on Next Up and ITVx. Basic Bloke 2 is Geoff’s latest show and runs from September 2025 to March 2026.
Being a rare stand-up who leans to the right, Geoff has also found himself in demand as a social commentator on shows like Politics Live (BBC 1), Peston (ITV), Victoria Derbyshire (BBC 2), Jeremy Vine (Channel 5) and across numerous shows on Sky, including All Out Politics, The Pledge and Offended: Irvine Welsh.
Geoff’s satirical commentary has found its way into national publications with articles appearing in The Times, The Sunday Telegraph, The Independent and The New Statesman, and Geoff remains in high demand as a writer for TV too, with an impressive list of credits, including: BAFTA TV Awards, Channel 4’s Alternative Election, 8 Out of Ten Cats (Channel 4), The Outlaws (BBC One), The Ranganation (BBC 2), Judge Romesh (Dave), The Sarah Millican Television Programme (BBC Two), A League of Their Own (Sky 1), Christmas Live at The Apollo (BBC Two), 8 Out of Ten Cats Does Countdown (C4), and Backstage With Katherine Ryan (Amazon).
