Bringing more than 10 years’ hospitality experience to the role, Ehatshum previously held senior management positions at luxury resorts and leading hotel brands across the UK.

Most recently, he was responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple Premier Inn sites in Cheshire, which followed his role as general manager for the flagship Aparthotel by Roomzzz in York.

Formerly known as the Royal Angus Hotel, aparthotel Birmingham offers a choice of 10 accommodation types across 161 suites, from a classic 22sqm studio, to two-bedroom and terraced apartments, meeting the requirements of both short-term and extended stays.

Upon opening, the refurbished site was awarded an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of “10 A”, where “0 A” indicates net-zero carbon emissions.

This rating has positioned aparthotel Birmingham as one of the city’s most sustainable commercial developments, producing significantly lower emissions than the industry average ratings of “17 A” for new builds and “68 C” for existing stock.

With a modern and eco-conscious design, aparthotel Birmingham is a completely gasless site that runs off 100 per cent renewable energy, generated entirely from solar and wind power, whilst heat pumps and heat recovery systems have eliminated the use of fossil fuels.

With a prime city-centre location, neighbouring the Colmore Business District and in walking distance of Birmingham Snow Hill station, aparthotel Birmingham has been designed to meet the needs of both leisure and corporate travellers.

The ground floor, named The Hub, features a 12-seat boardroom alongside modern co-working spaces, and an on-site NISA Local is due to open in early 2024 to provide enhanced convenience for guests.
