Trailblazing 80’s chart band We’ve Got a Fuzzbox and We’re Gonna Use It (Aka FUZZBOX) celebrate forty years since Birmingham's female ‘Fab Four’ burst onto the music scene. With their feisty & unapologetic energy, their DIY punk-pop and classic global hit singles like International Rescue, Self & Pink Sunshine, an authorised biography is launching to celebrate Fuzzbox legacy and their future.

Martin Tracey releases a brand-new authorised biography chronicling the band’s journey, meteoric rise, iconic imagery, the ups and downs of rock ‘n’ roll, and FUZZBOX’s fearless collective voice in a male-dominated industry. Compiled with input from the remaining original members and a passionate community of supporters, the book offers candid insights into the original group of ‘Girl-Power!’
FUZZBOX made their mark as one of the UK’s most vibrant and unapologetically original bands, fusing raw punky vibes with irresistible hooks and colourful 80s pop flair. Their influence continues to ripple across generations of female-fronted artists, especially women in music, with this new chapter proving that the fuzz is very much alive and louder than ever.
The launch builds on the recent recording of three brand-new podcasts under the banner “FUZZCAST” that complement the biography: a sharp, funny, and heartfelt series exploring music, creativity, and cultural chaos — told in true FUZZBOX fashion by original members Vix & Tina.
Each episode explores the backstories that informed the biography, diving into the band’s history and their ongoing evolution as artists who never stopped rewriting the rules. (Available soon on podcast platforms).
This is just the beginning, other highlights include:
● TV and radio appearances scheduled around the anniversary
● A BBC drama boost: FUZZBOX iconography is featured in the hit series Mixtape, introducing their legacy to a new audience

● Strong rumours of a Fuzzy film being made by a well-known TV & Film company
● A sassy, sophisticated new solo album from ViX : alt-pop sensibilities and expertly-crafted songs. Here’s a taste of Say I'm Weird!! 40 years since their explosive debut, FUZZBOX are still smashing Rules & Regulations and turning fans’ Sunshine Pink! Media Talking Points:

“Fuzzbox were never just a band — we were an explosion of colour, sound and rebellion. With FUZZCAST and the book, we’re opening the door to our world again — and everyone’s invited.”
Vix, FUZZBOX
“On reading this authorised biography, it was a joy to learn the definitive story behind the band that lit up my teenage years. I used to buy Smash Hits to learn all about FUZZBOX, but this is the proper story and it doesn’t disappoint!”
