Coinciding with National Apprenticeship Week 2026, the AI & Automation Apprenticeship Insights for Employers Webinar, hosted by The Development Manager (TDM), will take place on Friday 13 February at 9.30 am, offering practical guidance on how businesses can build the digital capabilities they need to stay competitive.

As AI and automation continue transforming workplaces across every sector, employers face increasing pressure to equip their teams with the right skills.

This webinar will outline the government‑aligned apprenticeship pathways now available to support workforce development, whilst exploring themes such as how human skills, organisational AI strategy, and practical learning pathways to transform capability from zero to hero.

The session will introduce two major developments for employers: the new Skills England AI Skills Framework, which outlines the essential competencies required across modern organisations, and the new Level 4 AI & Automation Practitioner Apprenticeship, designed to help employees design, implement and scale AI‑driven improvements that enhance productivity.

Presented by Derrin Kent, managing director and director of studies at TDM, the webinar will give employers a clear understanding of how apprenticeships can support digital transformation—whether they’re just beginning their AI journey or looking to build on existing initiatives.

Attendees will gain insights into how human skills and organisational culture underpin successful AI adoption, practical ways employees can use AI, low‑code tools, and automation to reduce manual workloads.

It will also cover development journeys for existing team members and explain how these programmes fit into broader workforce planning, innovation, and productivity strategies

This event forms part of National Apprenticeship Week 2026, making it a timely opportunity for organisations to explore how apprenticeships can help tackle skills shortages, strengthen internal capability, and create long‑term talent pipelines.

For members who represent a wide variety of industries - from manufacturing and logistics to professional services, healthcare, and hospitality - this webinar offers relevant, accessible guidance.

This free session will help employers understand not only the technical elements but also the human and organisational considerations needed for responsible, effective implementation.

Employers can register using the link provided.
