The trainees comprise graduates and school leavers. Their varied backgrounds reflect the firm's inclusive approach to attracting talent and its commitment to developing early careers talent through fostering growth, investing in people and providing meaningful opportunities.
As part of Forvis Mazars' ongoing investment in its people, trainees will receive communication and relationship-building skills, technical training, professional qualifications and opportunities to develop in-demand skills in data, technology and AI.
The firm's early careers programmes are designed to provide meaningful client exposure from the outset, supported by structured professional qualifications, development opportunities and mentoring from experienced colleagues and leaders.
This investment is already delivering strong results. September 2025 joiners are performing well in their professional qualification studies, with graduate trainees achieving results above ICAEW national averages across examinations.
School leaver trainees have also successfully completed the first year of a newly designed programme developed in partnership with BPP.
Stephen Lewis, Birmingham office managing partner, said:"We're delighted to welcome 27 new trainees to our Birmingham office. Investing in emerging talent is vital to the future of our business, and we're committed to providing our people with the skills, experience and support they need to build successful careers.
“Their enthusiasm and fresh perspectives will be invaluable as we continue to grow and deliver outstanding service to our clients."
Alongside welcoming its new trainees, the Birmingham team has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of a new partner, corporate tax, Habib Farazmand.
Habib joined Forvis Mazars in September 2026 and specialises in international tax, advising large and internationally active businesses on complex tax matters.
He will focus on supporting emerging international tax opportunities across the Midlands, accelerating cross-firm growth and helping develop the firm's international tax offering in Birmingham.
Stephen Lewis added: "Habib's appointment further strengthens our tax offering in Birmingham and reflects our continued investment in specialist expertise across the Midlands.
“His extensive experience advising internationally active businesses, combined with his deep technical knowledge, will be a significant asset to clients navigating an increasingly complex tax landscape.
“We look forward to the role he will play in supporting our growth ambitions and enhancing our international tax capabilities in the region."
