The group says it is part of a strategy to broaden its advisory services and strengthen its national presence.
As part of the launch, the firm has appointed Lee Brocklehurst as Business Recovery director, based in Dains’ Birmingham office.
Brocklehurst brings more than 25 years of experience in business recovery, restructuring and insolvency and joins Dains from Quantuma, where he was an appointment taking Insolvency Practitioner.
In his new role, he will lead the development of Dains’ Midlands Business Recovery offering and play a key role in establishing a national service.
This expansion allows Dains to support businesses with recovery, restructuring and insolvency solutions, whilst offering joined-up advice alongside its wider tax, audit and advisory services.
Outside of his role at Dains, Brocklehurst is an active member of ACCA and currently serves on its Practice Sector Panel.
He also supports the next generation of professionals as a mentor at Birmingham City University, working one-on-one with students seeking insight into specific career paths and industries.
Brocklehurst is also a trustee and chair of the Risk Committee at the Ikon Gallery, an internationally recognised contemporary art venue and registered educational charity based in Birmingham.
He said: “I’m delighted to be joining Dains at such an exciting stage of its growth. The firm has a strong reputation for high-quality advisory work, and there is a real opportunity to build a Business Recovery service in the Midlands that responds quickly, works constructively with stakeholders and delivers outcomes that protect value wherever possible.
“Working alongside the existing team, my focus will be on establishing a national offering that combines technical strength with a collaborative, client-focused approach, helping businesses navigate challenge, restructure where needed, and move forward with confidence.”
