The community can play an integral part in designing and developing various designs at the new Moseley Village, Kings Heath, and Pineapple Road railway stations.
Drawing inspiration from the heritage of south Birmingham, the unique cut-out patterns on the steel fencing panels, can be shaped and designed to reflect and draw inspiration from the heritage of the local area. They might capture the essence of local figures like JRR Tolkien, the heritage of the Chamberlain family, or other elements that symbolise the area's identity.
The stations are currently under construction by contractor VolkerFitzpatrick, as part of the project, led by Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) and West Midlands Rail Executive (WMRE), which is part of the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA), to restore passenger rail services to the Camp Hill Line.
Now the community is being asked for their creative input and ideas to celebrate the vibrancy and heritage of each area.
People are invited to attend a series of drop-in sessions over the next few weeks. Some are being hosted by the WMRE and others by local community groups.
Upcoming local sessions will be taking place at:

Throughout November, the received artwork will be carefully considered to determine their popularity and feasibility. The final three suggestions per station will be open for public vote on the WMRE website and social media channels, and a final design will be drafted before the year's end.
