
They are designed to bring people together to enjoy music, culture and the talent Birmingham has to offer.
As part of the celebrations, the sports bar has organised an Ukulele Class on 27 July at 2.30pm. It is open for anyone interested to learn more about the instrument.
Box Brindleyplace will screen a documentary on the city’s incredible contribution to the music scene. The documentary, titled as ‘Birmingham: A City Rooted in Talent’ will take place on 28 July at 7pm.
The venue will also be arranging a screening of Buddy Guy (pictured) on 30 July from 6 pm.
Daniel Wagle, assistant general manager at Box Brindleyplace, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be taking part in the Birmingham Jazz & Blues Festival for the first time.
“At Box, we’re passionate about bringing people together through live music and entertainment, so it’s fantastic to be supporting Birmingham’s vision of having live music seven nights a week and helping bring the blues back to the city.
“We’re really looking forward to being part of what promises to be a fantastic festival and celebrating the incredible talent and music scene Birmingham has to offer.”
The 10-day Birmingham Jazz & Blues festival runs from this Friday to Sunday 2 August and will feature 177 live music gigs, with more than 160 of them free admission at 116 venues across Birmingham, Sandwell and surrounding towns. Full listings for the festival are available here.
It has been organised by former Black Sabbath manager Jim Simpson.
