Chinese Entrepreneur Honoured By Mayor Of The West Midlands With Visit

  Angela Huang, founder of Hello!UK Limited which specialises in marketing, PR and event management for over 6 years, was honoured by Andy Street, Mayor of the West Midlands, at a VIP event to celebrate  Chinese New Year at the Chung Ying Restaurant in Birmingham.  The event was organised by a community group that Angela co-founded called Chinese Active Citizens UK.    "It is my great pleasure to wish everyone a very Happy New Year of the Rat", said Andy Street, Mayor of the West Midlands.  "The West Midlands is proud to have become a home and a hub for the Chinese community.  While we celebrate Chinese New Year it is right to think and be proud of the contribution of the Chinese community to our region.  I personally want to congratulate Angela and everyone at Chinese Active Citizens UK for all of their hard work.  happy Chinese New Year of the Rat".    Angela is a MA graduate from Warwick University and formed her own company in 2012.  Her knowledge in both English and Chinese markets enables her to provide creative solutions to optimise business and communication goals in China and the UK.  Angela is extremely well connected in the business community.  She is a founder committee member of the Midlands China Business Club and Vice President of Birmingham China Business Forum, both of which are non-profit organisations that aim to unite all local businesses with Chinese interests together and enhance the links between China and the UK.   "We are group of people who passionately believe in collaborating with each other to share experience and stimulate business opportunities, both large and small, between the UK and China" said Angela.  "We believe in building and sustaining long-term business relationships that result in mutual benefits".   Angela is a very active member of the local  Birmingham Chinese community having involvement with many projects, notably Birmingham Council, West Midlands Police, the Home Office and the Birmingham Hippodrome.  She has raised the profile of their work and outreach to the wider community.  She played a key role in several influential events such as the Birmingham Chinese New Year Festivals for the past 4 years.  In addition, she is also the co-founder of Chinese Future which provides a platform for Chinese and British businesses and professionals to meet, share, collaborate and create opportunities.     "Over the past few years" explained Angela "the flagship Chinese New Year Festival, held in Southside, Birmingham, has become of the largest celebrations of it`s kind in the UK attracting approximately over 30,000 people through the day each year.  The Festival features onstage entertainment including lion dances, acrobatics, martial arts, traditional music and dancing plus a kids` craft area and fairground, market stalls and Chinese food".     The event has become on of the most widely-celebrated festivals in Birmingham`s calendar welcoming all communities to join in the fun.
