In doing so, the Trust has supported more than 130 local, national and international charities. 

In the Midlands, this included Let’s Feed Brum, a volunteer-led organisation that provides services and support to Birmingham’s homeless and vulnerable population.

The charity received £8,000 in total, with the Birmingham office supporting 13 other regional organisations and four national/international charities throughout the course of the last financial year.

The total amount donated from the region through the Charitable Trust was £29,000.

For over 40 years, the Mills & Reeve Charitable Trust has been central to Mills & Reeve’s commitment to making a positive impact beyond its legal work.

Funded by contributions from the firm’s partners, the Trust supports charitable causes that align with Mills & Reeve’s values and key responsible business goals and strengthens the communities where its people live and work.

The largest proportion of funding supported organisations operating within the Trust’s core theme for 2025/26 of health and wellbeing.

This work extended beyond traditional healthcare, with significant investment in organisations tackling the wider determinants of health, including poverty, housing insecurity, disability, mental wellbeing, community resilience and social connection. 

Among the donations made during the year were almost £60,000 to charities tackling food poverty, £16,400 to Cancer Research UK, £10,000 each to CALM, The Felix Project, Dementia UK and the British Red Cross, £7,700 to IntoUniversity and £5,500 to the Royal Society for Blind Children.
