A chocolatier at Cadbury World has fundraising cracked this year, after creating a beautiful giant chocolate egg to support the important work of local charity, Charlotte & Craig Saving Hearts Foundation.
Talented chocolatier, Phoebe Snow, took 3 days to craft the egg, which stands at an impressive 75cm tall and weighs in at 38kg – the equivalent of 844 standard bars of delicious Cadbury Dairy Milk.
The show-stopping egg has been hand-decorated with a unique white chocolate design and features three intricate doves and a giant heart from the charity’s logo.
Helping to raise awareness and much-needed funds, the chocolatey creation will be raffled off to one lucky individual on Charlotte & Craig Saving Hearts Foundation social media channels on Friday 8th May 2020 at 12pm. 500 raffle tickets or more are available to purchase online, costing £2 each with 100% of all profits raised going towards funding the vital work of Charlotte & Craig Saving Hearts Foundation. The charity’s mission is to assist with the financing, supply and training of life saving Defibrillators across the UK, as well as raise awareness of Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome.
The Redditch-based charity was founded in 2010 by parents Rob and Maggie Underwood following the death of their 16-year-old daughter Charlotte. Tragically, three years later, the couple’s 17-year-old son Craig died from Vascular Ehlors Danlos Syndrome (Veds) and in January 2018, their 19-year-old son Carrick also died due to heart problems.
Diane Mitchell, marketing manager at Cadbury World, said: “We are incredibly proud to support a number of fantastic charities at Cadbury World, and combining the skills of our talented in-house team with the nation’s love of chocolate, our lovingly decorated giant eggs are just one of the ways that we can give something back to our local communities.
“We’re pleased to be able to play our part in raising money for Charlotte & Craig Saving Hearts Foundation, and such a wonderful cause.”
Maggie Underwood, co-founder of Charlotte & Craig Saving Hearts Foundation, commented: “We’d like to thank the Cadbury World chocolatiers and the wider team for their delicious donation and support for our charity.
“We strive to continue campaigning hard and raising funds to get more lifesaving equipment installed into as many public places and schools as possible across the West Midlands.”
