PIMFA is the trade association for firms providing wealth management, investment services, financial advice and financial planning.
Its members support individuals and families as well as charities, pension funds, trusts and businesses.
The sector represents £1.65 trillion in private savings and investments and employs more than 63,000 people.
PIMFA plays a leading role in shaping policy and regulatory debate, representing the interests of its members and supporting the development of the UK wealth management, investment advice and financial planning sector.
Dan Boardman-Weston said: “PIMFA plays a vital role in positioning the views of members with the Regulator, Government and key stakeholders.
“PIMFAs’ collaborative and learning approach provides a valuable platform for sharing knowledge and good practices.
“I am pleased to be asked to join the PIMFA Board, and I look forward to representing the views of the sector and working with the Chair and fellow Board members.”

The appointment follows a period of significant growth and investment for BRI under Dan’s leadership.
In July, the firm appointed Paul Stockton as a non-executive director. Paul previously served as chief executive of Rathbones Group Plc from 2019 to 2025.
BRI now manages more than £800 million in client assets.
In March, BRI completed the acquisition of West Midlands Wealth Management, following its acquisition of Gloucestershire-based FutureFocus Advisory Limited in October 2025.
