The city company has announced sponsorship deals for the 2026–27 and 2027–28 seasons, supporting a club that is helping women’s rugby continue to grow in Birmingham.

Bournville RFC is one of the relatively few amateur clubs in the West Midlands able to field two senior women’s teams – the Golds and the Maroons.

Training twice a week at Avery Fields and competing in league rugby, the women’s section brings together players, coaches, support staff, friends and families. Like so many grassroots sports clubs, it depends on the commitment of people who give their time and energy week after week.

And for pro-Forms director Jon Crofts, the relationship with Bournville RFC goes back more than 30 years.

Jon has been involved with the club as a player, coach and committee member, while two of his children have progressed through Bournville's Minis & Juniors section. His daughter is now involved with the senior women’s team.

Jon said: “Having been involved with Bournville for over 30 years as player, coach and in various committee roles, my passion for the club has lasted longer than my looks or hair.”

He said that with two of his children having come through the club, supporting the women’s team was an easy decision.

“It makes this sponsorship particularly special to us. There is a genuine connection between the business, the club and the people involved.

“There are also some striking similarities between the values we see in grassroots rugby and those we value in business.

“Teamwork, commitment, reliability and turning up week after week are fundamental to any successful rugby team.

“They are also qualities we recognise in the field service teams that use pro-Forms® software every day.

“Perhaps that is why the partnership feels such a natural fit.”
