The Edgbaston-based franchise said the new branding “draws on the culture and creative spark of the region while embracing the vibrant colours that have become synonymous with the Phoenix.”
They said it is designed to strengthen the team’s bond with the city of Birmingham.
The refreshed logo is inspired by the chevron shapes in the West Midlands and city of Birmingham flags.
Phoenix’s colours have also been tweaked – the lead colour of Phoenix Coral will be supported by Inferno Orange, Eternal White and Sabbath Black in a nod to the city’s proud musical heritage.
Last year, Birmingham City’s owners Knighthead Capital Investments LLC purchased a stake in Birmingham Phoenix.
Phoenix said in a statement: “Knighthead’s experience in sports-focused, community-minded investment will help support the club’s long-term ambition and broaden its reach.
“It will also help open new pathways for local talent to dream about a future in cricket and deepen community engagement through expanded grassroots programmes.
“Birmingham Phoenix will also create space for new cultural collaborations that showcase the city’s music, arts and food scenes.”
“In amplifying Birmingham’s character and creativity on a national stage, the Phoenix will stand as both a sporting force and a cultural ambassador for the region.
“Throughout this evolution, B5 and Edgbaston Stadium will continue to be our home.
“The iconic ground continues to be the heart of the Phoenix, a place where memories are made and where supporters create the soundtrack of the summer. Edgbaston is where the city’s proud cricketing heritage meets its future.
“The Birmingham Phoenix is proud of its authenticity and ambition. It has a deep connection to the city and together with its fans, partners and communities, the Phoenix is ready to embrace a future that feels unmistakably Birmingham.”
