Practice Plus Group Hospital, Birmingham - formerly known as The Edgbaston Hospital - will host its first on-site open day on Saturday 6 June 2026, from 11am to 3pm, giving visitors the chance to explore the hospital, meet consultants and learn more about the treatments available locally.

The event is being shared with members of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, helping connect the hospital with businesses and professionals across the region.

Located on Somerset Road, Edgbaston, the hospital provides a range of planned treatments including orthopaedic procedures such as hip and knee surgery, cataract treatment and general surgery like hernia repair, alongside diagnostics and physiotherapy services.

During the open day, visitors will be invited to tour the hospital’s facilities, meet some of the clinical team and speak with consultants about common procedures and recovery times. It’s also an opportunity to learn more about how patients can access treatment at the hospital.

Practice Plus Group Hospital, Birmingham offers patients a range of pathways – and can be treated either through an NHS GP referral, or via its private healthcare service Wellsoon which is available for privately insured or self-paying patients.

The open day aims to give guests a better understanding of the services available locally and help demystify hospital care by offering a relaxed environment where visitors can ask questions and speak directly with clinicians.

Samantha Doubleday, hospital director, Practice Plus Group Hospital, Birmingham said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming the community into the hospital for our first open day. It’s a great chance for visitors to see our excellent facilities, meet the team and find out more about healthcare services available here in Birmingham.

“Whether people are simply curious about what we offer, are considering treatment in the future, or just want to understand their options, we hope the day will give them a helpful insight into what is available locally.”

Guests will be offered light refreshments and free on-site parking is available.

Attendance is free, but guests are asked to RSVP in advance by contacting:
