Birmingham’s newest theatre only opened its doors in March 2024 but has grown from strength to strength and is now one of the venues hosting Birmingham Fest 2024.
The Birmingham Black Box Theatre, located at 19 Harford Street, Birmingham, B19 3EB, is a true black box space. The 125-140 seat venue – set out in cabaret style seating – can host a multitude of different performances and events. It`s an extremely versatile performance space that can be utilised for literally anything.
The theatre was established by internationally renowned writer and film maker Dr Carlette Norwood (pictured).
"Opening a new, eclectic and diverse events and theatre arts venue in the heart of Birmingham is my dream come true" said Dr Norwood.
And Dr Norwood`s new Birmingham Black Box Theatre is one of the venues hosting Birmingham Fest 2024.
Birmingham Fest is a performing arts festival celebrating the second city’s venues & arts scene. It is a gives the perfect platform for artists and companies from across the UK and abroad to showcase their work in an exciting two and a half week programme of events.
Birmingham has a fantastic array of performance venues. This festival is an exciting time for the city and its arts scene. The annual programme of events has an eclectic programme of performances and also introduces companies and patrons to some of the city’s venues that they might not be familiar with.
Birmingham Fest is an independent festival, without funding, and is designed to celebrate Birmingham and the performing arts.
