The collaborative agreement sees Better Signage supply ‘My name is…’ badges to clinical and ward staff across five NHS trusts within the Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care System.

These include University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital and Solihull Hospital), the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, and Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust.

Around 16,000 badges are expected to be supplied each year, helping ensure staff across these organisations are easily identifiable while maintaining a professional and consistent brand identity.

The badges have been carefully designed to combine durability, accessibility and practicality.

Each badge is produced using a high-quality base with a protective dome resin coating for a premium, long-lasting finish. Staff can choose from different fastening options, including traditional pins or magnetic fasteners suitable for delicate uniforms.

Simon Clarke, managing director of the BSOL Procurement Collaborative, said:
“We’re delighted to be working with Better Pathways. This partnership not only supports the practical needs of UHB and the wider ICS but also contributes to a wider social purpose – empowering individuals and creating real opportunities for change.”

The NHS project builds on Better Signage’s growing reputation for delivering high-quality, socially responsible signage solutions.  Last year, the organisation completed an end-to-end signage project for fellow Chamber member Multifleet at its new offices in Shirley, further demonstrating the value that social enterprises can bring to local businesses and organisations.

Income generated through Better Signage supports the wider work of Better Pathways, enabling the charity to help more people move into meaningful employment.
