The Aston Villa Foundation have announced the first ‘Corporate Cup’, taking place at Aston Villa’s Inner-City Academy.
The tournament is five-a-side with three substitutions.
For a donation of £600 to the Foundation, teams entering the tournament will receive an opportunity to play at Aston Villa’s Inner-City Academy venue on the full-size 3G pitch, a visit from a special guest throughout the day, a trophy presentation and buffet in Legends Lounge at Villa Park and the opportunity to win signed Aston Villa merchandise in a raffle draw.
The event will take place on Friday, 18 July, with the tournament taking place between 12pm and 4pm.
Following the event, the winners will be presented with their trophy at an exclusive celebration event from 4pm 6pm in the Legends Lounge at Villa Park.
Aston Villa Foundation manager, Ross Alexander shared: “We are pleased to be introducing the Corporate Cup as a brand-new event in our fundraising cycle, giving businesses and organisations the opportunity to support the community and charity work of the Foundation!
“The fans are one of our biggest stakeholders and may be the first and only in-person experience fans will have with the Club through our programme delivery or ongoing positive club to fan connection.
“The Corporate Cup is an opportunity for teams to play at the recently opened Inner-City Academy, an exclusive facility usually only open to Academy players and Foundation participants, and network with other groups to foster collaboration and partnerships, a key part of the Foundation’s strategic functions.”
