The celebratory night will take place at the Irish Centre in Kings Heath on 13 November. It will be hosted by local legend and celebrity housewife Barbara Nice .
Key highlights during the night will include a raffle with a bespoke two-piece suit and shirt worth £2000 up for grabs from Clements and Church.
A famous TV comedian will also be in attendance together with a DJ.
Tickets are on sale now with the first 40 priced at £40.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses, providing a way to support a local charity to maximise fundraising while advertising services and enjoying a night out.
Holly Rackham, Anawim’s corporate partnerships and philanthropy officer said: “We’re so excited to announce this event. It’s a real chance to pay tribute to the work of the last 40 years, and to raise much needed funds for whatever comes next.”
Anawim was founded in 1986 by two pioneering nuns, Sister Magdalene Matthews and Sister Maisie Nevin.
They decided to open their Balsall Heath home as a drop-in centre to women in the local community who were involved in sex work and vulnerable to exploitation.
The Sisters were struck by the difference it made for women to have a safe space, a warm drink and a listening ear. Somewhere without judgement, to meet other women who cared deeply about their wellbeing.
Over the years Anawim has grown and now has around 70 staff.
More than 2,000 women access their services every year. Anawim also offers holistic gender and trauma responsive care to any woman who comes through the doors.
Their campaigning influence government policy, and the data is used in research papers.
