38,000 people attended Lunar New Year celebrations in Southside on Sunday 11 February, the best ever attended day in Southside for Lunar New Year celebrations.

Birmingham’s Lunar New Year Festival shines a spotlight on the fantastic talent within the region and celebrates the many communities marking the Lunar New Year.
Save the date - Lunar New Year celebrations will take place in Birmingham on Sunday 11 February 2024. This year’s festivities are supported by Southside District and The Arcadian.
This year’s Diwali celebrations saw the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) organise a vibrant array of events, cultural showcases, and community engagements across the region, highlighted by the attendance of Bollywood icon Preity G Zinta.
Preity G Zinta - one of the most popular and recognisable stars of Indian cinema will be coming to Birmingham next month to help lead the region’s Diwali celebrations.
