The biggest and best event in the Bedford Calendar is less than two weeks away!

Yes BEDFORD RIVER FESTIVAL is on the 17th and 18th July!

This year will a fun packed fast paced smorgasbord of music, dance, food and drink, and more cultural pursuits! There are parades and plenty of water based fun with Viking re-enactments, raft and dragon boat races.

Lancaster flypast at 4.50pm on Saturday 17th July.

Dakota flypast at 3.00pm on Sunday 18th July.

A full list of events including: Viking longboat invasion, Dragon boat racing, Parade of narrow boats and cabin cruisers, Punting, Raft races, Kayak demonstration, Illuminated boat parade can all be found at the River Festival Website which is here – don’t forget to check it out again just before you go for any last minute changes and additions to the agenda.

The big displays and stands this year include: Heritage Village – Viking Village on top of Castle Mound, Market Village, Wartersports Arena, Redstripe Music stage, WW2 Flypast, Funfair, Mind Body & Soul Village, Rugby display area, Village Green – with giant games, Autoglass River Events (dragon boats, raft races, Vikings etc.)
