A full house at the bestofbedford charity quiz night!

This week saw the bestofbedford's first charity pub quiz, which was held at The Park pub on Kimbolton Road. The evening was a resounding success with over £340 raised for our chosen charity Emmaus Village Carlton.

A good cross section of bestofbedford business members sent teams along including; Keens Shay Keens, Pulse Health Screening, Alexanders Chauffeur Cars, Red Vixen Driving School, Metrosigns, Bedford Borough Council, Emmaus Village, Utilitrack, The Park, Bedford I-KAN and The Health Hub, with a guest attendance from Tax Assist.

On the night a highly intellectual team from Red Vixen Driving School took first prize with I-KAN and Metrosigns coming in joint second place only one point behind. So if you want to increase your knowledge of trivia, sport and current affairs whilst learning to drive Jo Eddington at Red Vixen is your lady!

Everyone had a great evening, and there were several requests for another quiz evening to be run – so please do give me a call or email if you would like to participate in the next bestofbedford charity pub quiz. (date to be confirmed)

A huge round of thanks go to everyone who donated raffle prizes, and particular thanks to Grant Owen, manager at The Park, for donating the food, the venue, a raffle prize and entering a team! Don’t forget that The Park has a bestofbedford members offer running at the moment, £10 off a 2 course meal for two Monday to Thursday evenings.

Heartfelt thanks again to everyone who took part in making this such a great fundraising event for Emmaus Village Carlton.
