We went for the evening taster menu. Once again absolutely gorgeous food. I love this place. May seem expensive at £49 but honestly worth every penny. Let’s face it if you have 3 courses in a pub it can easily cost 35 to 40 upwards.
It’s also great for lunch and brunch with a walk up the Hoad.

We were treated to a gastronomic delight. Each of the courses were carefully constructed with such care and attention to detail. The taste was out of this world. Highly recommended you try this out, you definitely won't be disappointed.

Me and my husband booked a table the other night (Saturday 5th March 2022) for an anniversary meal, having heard amazing things about BASE previously, and I’m so glad we did! We knew it was a set menu at the time & date we was booking but as we both love trying new foods we couldn’t wait to see what we thought of the foods. We were greeted at the door by a lovey brunette girl, who showed us to our table and took a drinks order for us. We then we’hing they were doing which was amazing to see the concerntration and detail that went into their work. I cannot reccomend BASE enough! I absolutely Loved the soup & the pigs cheek dishes. My partner loved the lobster as his favourite but we both loved it all it was just so full of flavour.
Thankyou to Abbie for being extremely helpful & going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed tooYou can see the awards that Mark & the team & BASE have gotten and they are extremely well deserved. It’s definitely somewhere we will be returning to and I look forward to it.
