Great traditional country pub that serves good food and has real fires in the winter. Good selection of local real ales as well and now dog friendly inside as well as the small beer garden at the rear. Nice little park across the road for young children but no dogs allowed in there.Rooms: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Location: 5/5

We loved our stay here! The rooms were comfortable, the staff were very kind, the breakfast was amazing, and close to Windermere without being in the busy tourist area. We also ate dinner here and the food was superb. I highly recommend it especially for the price as it was very affordable and had a very substantial breakfast.
Rooms: We had a family room as we stayed here with kids and had enough beds for everyone and they even provided a cot for our baby. The beds were comfortable and it was cool staying in such an old building.
Food and drinks: Top notch pub food. Definitely worth it and the sticky toffee pudding was perfect.
